Swap Screen Time for Sky Time: Let Spring Land Gently with a Bird Art Safari
Share
This Spring, trade your notifications for birdsong.
Put down the to-do list, pick up a brush and meet us where the skies are wide, the air is soft, and creativity flows in tune with nature.
As the soft stirrings of Spring return to the South African landscape, The CooCoo Club invites you to step into a new season of stillness, creativity, and nature-connection through our Bird Art Safaris.
Imagine birdsong in the background, a brush in your hand, and a table of botanical inks ready for your inner artist to awaken. These aren’t your average painting classes — they’re immersive, soul-nourishing experiences rooted in the rhythm of the wild.
Whether you're a creative soul, a curious beginner, or simply someone craving a quiet moment to reconnect — you’re welcome here.
What Is a Bird Art Safari?
At its core, a Bird Art Safari is a gentle journey back to yourself. It’s a guided morning of birdwatching, followed by a slow and sensory creative workshop using birdlife as both muse and metaphor. Led by Jeanne Hugo, each session blends deep listening, intuitive mark-making, and a chance to ground into the natural season — no art experience required.
You’ll leave feeling lighter, more present, and more connected to the world around you.

Hatching Hope: Little Wings, Big Change
This Spring, we’re also spotlighting stories that lift our spirits and remind us why we do what we do.
This month’s inspiration:
In the UK, the beloved Eurasian curlew — once in steep decline — is making a comeback. Thanks to national conservation efforts and dedicated farmers protecting nesting sites, curlew chicks are fledging in record numbers. It’s proof that when humans care, nature responds.
We’ll continue sharing these uplifting bird stories — from sunbirds in your backyard to global conservation wins — because wonder is always nearby.
With warmth,
The CooCoo Club Team
